How it all started...
On a trip to Indonesia, we discovered beautiful solid teak & mahogany wood furniture that we fell in love with and knew all our island neighbors would appreciate as well. Also, on this trip we stumbled on a 5-foot stone carved statue of Two Frogs Hugging and we agreed that this would be a great name for our new business of bringing this amazing furniture to the island. Two Frogs Hugging was born.
We opened Two Frogs Hugging by slinging solid teak and mahogany furniture out of a 2-story old plantation house on the river in Kapaa and started importing all our products from Indonesia and began making frequent trips there to re-stock. We also began making trips to China, where we brought back beautiful Chinese antique furniture and reproductions. This became quite a hit for our Kauai residents. In addition, Two Frogs brought in luxurious and comfortable beds, sofas and sectionals in various material and fabrics. Shortly after, Two Frogs headed to the Philippines and found beautiful bamboo furniture and high-quality rattans with different weaves and combinations with hardwoods for every room…. perfect for our island style of living!
And so, the journey continues! We have moved to our new store in the Lihue Industrial Park Phase 2 just behind the airport on Aukele Street. As our family has grown, so has our family of customers. By providing great quality natural products at great value, we are able to keep exploring and expanding our lines. Through our travels we continually search for cool and unique items, as well as functional and beautiful in your home for many years to come.
